My Cernit Journey – 02

As promised, listed below are the Cernit One colors that I’ll use in my exploration of potential Cernit blended colors. The center column is a gaggle of seven colors which can be the closest to spectral colors. I’ve organized them in spectral order, essentially the most constant approach of arranging colors. There is no such thing as a excessive chroma cyan so I’ll substitute turquoise blue although it appears barely desaturated. There is no such thing as a magenta between the violet and the pink. I’m all the time searching for CMY as a result of it’s the best strategy to combine vibrant colors with the least quantity of clay and energy.

The opposite 5 colors I selected largely as a result of I like them and wished take a more in-depth look.

In an effort to search out an alternative to magenta I’ve made a color line between Christmas Purple 463 and Purple 962 and one other line between Purple 400 and Violet 900. One of many color steps in every color line is a desaturated magenta. Purple 400 seems prefer it incorporates some yellow which desaturates the colors in that line much more than the opposite. You may see that Xmas Purple 463 and Violet 900 appear to have larger mixing energy than the opposite two colors. I’ll make one other stepped color card that includes these two stronger colors. I’ll publish once more once I get the brand new card completed.
