KOLAJ INSTITUTE IN NEW ORLEANS

Saturday, 5 October 2024, 2-4PM at Kolaj Institute Gallery

Throughout his Solo Residency, North Carolina-based artist Nate Hester will create two large-scale (64×44″) works on paper for the Tokyo Worldwide Artwork Honest. He’ll use New Orleans as his inspiration for the work, writing that town is the “confluence of many pure, political, historic, cultural and ethnic influences.” He may also use his time at Kolaj Institute to research the strategy of bas-relief paper pulp sculpting. On Saturday, October 5, 2024, 2-4PM, the general public is invited to go to Kolaj Institute Gallery to satisfy the artist and see how the paintings is progressing.
