I spent quite a lot of years of my life residing in Epping and earlier this week I had a spare 1.5 hours to discover its streets.
I haven’t been again since I left 7.5 years in the past, and there have been lots of modifications. Not one of many 3 cafes or the three Thai eating places that I used to frequent remains to be there, and a few components of Epping are slightly rundown, which is a bit unhappy. Nevertheless, I feel it’s extra fascinating to sketch!
I did this blended media sketch in about 20 minutes of the outlets alongside Langston Place with some background highrise. I actually loved doing this – loosely making marks with Neocolors, Poscas and my fude pen.
Earlier, I sketched in a restaurant known as Widespread Espresso…
and later that day, I drew a map documenting the areas I explored and all of the issues which can be now not there.
I additionally did slightly digging into the archives of this weblog and have put collectively a number of of my sketches from Epping. They date from the primary few years after I left my full-time job as an architect, and it’s wonderful the recollections and emotions that these sketches evoke.
