Positioned on a nook block, this well-known house-turned-café was initially the studio of a Catalan artist, Ramon Pichot, again within the early 1900s.  He counted amongst his buddies Picasso and Dali, and married a neighborhood lass who modeled for choose painters (and I think about that is how they met and fell in love).  After getting back from a Spanish journey, Pichot took a break from portray canvases to color their house pink and turned it right into a restaurant !  And so its life inside the cloth of Paris’s café scene started.

With one facet on rue des Saules and the opposite on rue de l’Abreuvoir within the 18th arrondissement, this iconic eating institution is inside a baguette’s throw of Paris winery Vigne du Clos Montmartre, and only a brief stroll alongside the cobblestones to the Musée de Montmartre.  There are such a lot of lovely sights within the space, you may stroll off your waistline very quickly!  And on that word …
