In September Kukka moved to a brand new studio house, in “De Wasserij” constructing in Rotterdam. De Wasserij (the laundromat) is the brand new hub for modern style professionals. This new breeding floor is positioned within the previous laundromat manufacturing unit constructing of the previous Bergweg Hospital. For the previous two years the constructing is reworked into studio areas and a textile lab makerspace and the opening is well known with a style competition.

The Getting Nearer Style Competition is all concerning the love, time and craftmanship that goes into making style. In a weekend filled with open studios, workshops, movies and talks guests can meet native designers and makers. You’ll be able to have your favorite garment repaired or get fingers on your self within the makers lab. Store for distinctive gadgets within the pop-up store or take a tour within the neighbourhood and hunt for the perfect finds at sustainable native hotspots.
Kukka’s studio is open to guests all weekend. Come and see our lovely instagrammable mural and see what we do within the studio. We will even promote our entomology silk scarves in a inventory sale within the pop-up store on the primary ground. On Saturday Kukka’s studio will even be a part of the Rotterdam Honest Style Tour #1 and Laura will discuss eco pleasant textiles on the Style Speak #2 Sustainable Textiles.
