The GlassRoots | Peters Valley Fellowship is a free, immersive summer season program hosted by GlassRoots in vibrant Newark, NJ and the enchanting Peters Valley College of Craft in rural Layton, NJ. Study glassblowing, stained glass, blacksmithing, jewellery design and extra! Skilled artists will present mentorship {and professional} steerage as you benefit from the camaraderie of your inventive friends. All bills are paid together with housing, meals and transportation, and the Fellowship culminates in an exhibition mounted at each Peters Valley and GlassRoots.
The Fellows shut out their summer season with an Exhibition Opening Reception and Celebration Dinner at Peters Valley College of Craft. This occasion celebrates and showcases the accomplishments of the GlassRoots|Peters Valley Fellows. A catered dinner is served adopted by displays by every Fellow showcasing their work, inspiration and journey throughout this system. This occasion is open to the general public.
In early fall, GlassRoots hosts a Fellows Exhibition and Commencement Celebration in Newark. Choose artworks are curated for show at GlassRoots studios or an off-site location in Newark. Their mentor, multidisciplinary artist Ghislaine Sabiti, and previous GRPV Fellows work with the present Fellows to curate a cohesive and attractive physique of labor to exhibit, promote and focus on.
