No one – is a photograph collection impressed by the Rotterdam road scene on the time of the corona disaster. A time when town involves a standstill, social interplay is changed by distance and empty streets. The absence of man is embodied by solely displaying the garment within the serene, quiet streets.
No one is a collaboration between residents of De Wasserij, the hub for progressive vogue in Rotterdam with vogue entrepreneurs like designers, stylists and photographer who often collaborate and use eachothers experience. The concept for “No one” emerged whereas many residents discovered themselves in the course of tasks which are being placed on maintain, postponed, or worse, cancelled and closed shops attributable to COVID-19. So as to strengthen the neighborhood spirit and spotlight eachothers crafts and collections and proceed working whereas taking the measures of social distancing in thoughts, the idea for No one was born.
Shoe designer Jolanda van Eijk, vogue stylist Bernadette van Wijlen and vogue photographers Julie Vielvoije and Iris Tempelaar, all positioned in De Wasserij, took the initiative to create No one. The marketing campaign attracts consideration to the merchandise of native Rotterdam designers in a particular manner, now that the streets not type a stage. With this collection, Van Eijk, Van Wijlen, Vielvoije and Tempelaar wish to present that creativity can’t be stopped.
