PMQ2024: The social instances start!

After just a few quiet days, my time at Port Macquarie began to turn into very social. My good friend V works Monday via Wednesday, so the top of the week was all about spending time along with her. I additionally caught up with M (my sister’s greatest good friend from childhood), who’s my good friend too and who sketches!

I nonetheless managed to slot in some solo seashore sketching periods into every day – regardless of a little bit of rain!

Thursday

I began with a solo sketching session at Shellys.

I had 10 minutes earlier than I needed to depart and meet V for brunch. What might I do in that point?

I then had a stunning brunch with V at Coast (Lighthouse Seaside). One other smashed avo, and I added the view of the lighthouse that we had from our desk.

A quiet afternoon… I ended up performing some enjoyable Posca sketches of things from my Airbnb and…

…I  went again to Flynns seashore! It was raining so I sketched from my automotive once more. And as soon as once more sketched the southern finish of the seashore. However this time I began with some free purple shapes which I layered over.

A extremely enjoyable dinner with V and her buddies. It’s all the time nice to hang around with the gang and the meals was nice.

Observe: ‘Yum’ in all caps, with an exclamation mark and underline is an indication of a extremely good meal!

My sketchbook did the rounds of the kitchen.

I ended up doing a mini watercolour lesson for B and L

after which did some blind contour drawings.

Friday

One other day, one other morning go to to Shelly. I deliberately left no white house on the web page for this sketch, and it felt ‘mistaken’ to depend on opaque white for the waves.

Morning tea with V at Little Shack with a view of the Hastings River.

One other quiet afternoon the place I ended up at Flynns. A free largely watercolour sketch…

…adopted by a Posca one.

I had a stunning night with M and her good friend F at some Friday evening markets. Whereas ready for my dinner, I managed a fast sketch (standing up).

Two nice days! My sketchbook was nonetheless dominated by seashores and cafes, however I used to be about to sketch some various kinds of topics. So keep tuned for that!
